Despertar el interés permanente por la lectura desde la pedagogía Waldorf
Awakening long-term interest in reading through Waldorf pedagogy
Abstract
How do Waldorf teachers motivate children to learn to read and, more importantly, how do they maintain their students’ interest in reading over time? Through a focus on oral language, a curriculum tailored to the child’s needs, and an environment conducive to emotional expression, Waldorf students approach the reading process with greater confidence and motivation. From the Waldorf perspective, the initial process of learning to write significantly supports the learning of reading, helping to reinforce self-confidence in the reading process. The aim of this article is to provide a detailed understanding of Waldorf pedagogical practices in the process of learning to read. Furthermore, it seeks to identify strategies that promote interdisciplinary reading comprehension, a core element of the Waldorf educational approach.
